🥇 Fantasy Playoff Trade Targets

Trade deadlines are here. Let's make a move.

Happy Thursday!

Trade deadlines are either this week or rapidly approaching, so I wanted to take a look at trades again this week.

Hopefully you’re all set for the playoff push but I’m hoping to make that push a little easier this week.

Let’s talk some fantasy football!

🏆 Playoff Trade-For Candidates

Well folks, it appears the trade deadline has arrived. It’s a gift and a curse in my eyes. On one hand, I can no longer try to trade for my opponents players. On the other hand, I can stop looking at each of my league mates’ lineups every single day seeking a trade.

Let’s look at some player to target if you’re still on the hunt.

🏆 QB Brock Purdy, 49ers
Purdy is a player that you can either get for cheap from someone in your league, but also possible on the waivers. Purdy has the fourth-easiest playoff schedule among QBs behind Jalen Hurts, Justin Fields, Tommy DeVito and Will Levis. Purdy is a player with the schedule and the assets to win players a championship.

Playoff Strength of Schedule:
- Week 15: Cardinals (5th-most fantasy points allowed to QBs)
- Week 16: Ravens (30th-most)
- Week 17: Commanders (3rd-most)

🏆 RB Austin Ekeler, Chargers
This one may be a bit difficult to accomplish, but the playoff schedule is too juicy to resist. After a slow recovery from a high ankle sprain, Ekeler has recently excelled, averaging 19.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over the past three weeks. Looking ahead, his favorable schedule against the Raiders, Bills, and Broncos, all in the top 10 for explosive run rate allowed, makes me want to go all in for Ekeler.

Playoff Strength of Schedule:
- Week 15: Raiders (5th-most fantasy points allowed to RBs)
- Week 16: Bills (12th-most)
- Week 17: Broncos (THE most)

🏆 Seattle Seahawks Wide Receivers
I mentioned them last week and I can’t help but mention them again, this playoff schedule is too tempting and things are starting to look up for this passing offense in Seattle. The defensive schedule for this group is the absolute easiest among all WRs. Buy any of the three receivers (DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Jaxon Smith-Njigba) if you are a playoff contender.

Playoff Strength of Schedule:
- Week 15: Eagles (2nd-most fantasy points allowed to WRs)
- Week 16: Titans (6th-most)
- Week 17: Steelers (3rd-most)

🏆 TE David Njoku, Browns
With the 2nd-easiest TE schedule in the playoffs, my eyes are set on acquiring Njoku in leagues I’m contending in. The only thing that worries me is the change at QB to Dorian Thompson-Robinson, but I don’t think this takes away from the targets that Njokue will see. If you are TE-needy or even have a TE like Evan Engram (who has one of the hardest TE playoff schedules), Njoku is a name to target.

Playoff Strength of Schedule:
- Week 15: Bears (6th-most fantasy points allowed to RBs)
- Week 16: Texans (5th-most)
- Week 17: Jets (11th-most)

🤑 Week Eleven Best Bets

Let’s talk some bets. I’ll highlight a few of our favorite NFL lines at the time of writing each week moving forward here!

Last week the posted picks in this newsletter were 2-0 and the posted picks in Sharpz app were a perfect 4-0. Let’s repeat it again this week!

You can also follow our other recommended bets on Sharpz - a new social media for sports bettors! Connects to all the major sportsbooks - DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, etc. - and keep track of not only your bets but your friends as well. All for FREE.

🐦 NYJ +7 vs. BUF
I don’t think this Jets defense allows the Bills offense to get away with any mistakes lightly. The Jets have kept every divisional game this season close and this one should be no different. Giving the Bills 7 points feels like too much.

🪓 PIT +1.5 vs. CLE
The Steelers beat the Browns in week 2 with Deshaun Watson under center. Both teams have evolved since then, but I firmly believe the Steelers can go into Cleveland and defeat the Browns and Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

💥 Week Eleven Booms and Busts 👎

Start your studs.

That being said, let’s highlight some players I’m expecting some big weeks from and a few I’m pretty low on. This isn’t necessarily a start/sit column, but more so some players I expect a bigger week from and some players I’m not excited about.

💥 RB Aaron Jones, Packers (vs. Chargers)
Despite a tough Week 10, Jones remains a key part of the Packers' offense, with consistent involvement in the passing game. This week he faces a Chargers defense that's vulnerable to running backs and was just dominated on the ground by Detroit. I think Jones is in position for a rebound this week.

👎 RB James Cook, Bills (vs. Jets)
Cook's Week 10 against Denver was not a lot of fun. Despite a solid performance with 12 carries for 109 yards, his inconsistency raises concerns. With only two touchdowns this season and a challenging matchup against the Jets, approach Cook cautiously.

💥 WR Marquise Brown, Cardinals (vs. Texans)
Despite a missed opportunity in Week 10, Brown remains a reliable target for Kyler Murray. With a favorable matchup against the Texans, who have struggled against receivers recently, consider Brown a solid WR2.

👎 WR Gabe Davis, Bills (vs. Jets)
Oh boy, two Bills in the bust category?? With a coordinator change, Davis' role in the Bills passing game is uncertain. Add in the fact that Davis has historically performed poorly against the Jets and we have a recipe for a bust. Sit Davis where you can.

Thank you for tuning in, let’s get a W this week 🫡
