I’m currently on vacation with the extended family and I can’t help but think how perfect a time it is to start drilling into fantasy football draft prep.

Many of us have been diving deep since the last season ended. But now is when things start to heat up. It’s now more acceptable to ask your friend what his draft strategies are, mock drafts are starting to feel relevant and content is in full swing.

I’m simply here to help you with these drafts. Know where values lie, understand the ADP trends of some players, and overall stay on top of the draft room. This is how you win your draft.

Every week I’ll highlight draft values found in draft rooms, primarily using my Abusing Draft Rankings tool to help find these players.

Obviously right now it’s too early to take advantage of these values, unless you’re drafting this weekend! It’s still a massive benefit to keep an eye on both ADP trends (listed in the next section) and consistent discrepancies between ADP and expert ranks.

IND WR Michael Pittman – Sleeper & Yahoo PPR

Pittman is ranked 20th in PPR formats and appears in draft rooms for Sleeper and Yahoo at 36 - 16 spots later than he’s ranked. He’s in a position to be the top target in an improved offense that is fully healthy and seems to continue slipping as the summer continues. I’m buying at this point.

PIT RB Jaylen Warren – Sleeper PPR

Jaylen Warren finished last season as the RB20 in PPR, is entering a new offensive scheme expected to favor the RB even more, is on a team that can only perform better statistically this season than last, and is being drafted as the RB33. Something doesn’t add up, but Warren is one of my favorite late RB targets.
